RN Outpatient Wound Care Nurse
An outpatient wound care facility is seeking an experienced Wound Care RN to join their team! This opportunity will offer room for career growth, as this facility is a part of a larger privately-owned health system in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and beyond.
This small outpatient facility, part of a larger group of facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, is well-known for its advanced techniques and technology in the treatment of non-healing wounds. This facility uses a patient-centered approach to handling treatment of wound care, providing patients with expert wound treatment, care management, and follow-up care. A complete list of services offered include: treatment of non-healing wounds and ulcers, infusion therapy for long-term health conditions, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy utilizing state of the art hyperbaric chambers.
The Wound Care RN will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all wound care clinic patients from the start of therapy all the way through follow-up care. The Wound Care Nurse will apply their wound care knowledge and skills to treat patients effectively and safely, ensuring high quality patient care outcomes. The Wound Care RN will work together with Hyperbaric Oxygen Techs to deliver hyperbaric oxygen therapy, evaluating patient response and continued observation of wound healing after HBO therapy. The Wound Care RN will work closely with the Wound Care Physician to determine a best plan of care for the patient in regards to desired wound healing outcome.
The ideal candidate for this role will obtain 2+ years of wound care nursing experience in an acute care setting. Current TX-state nursing license is required, BSN is preferred. CMSRN and/or CWCN is also preferred.
