Emergency Department Nursing Educator
A midsize hospital system in Northern New Jersey, right outside New York City, is currently looking for an experienced Emergency Room Nurse Educator to step into a corporate, multi-site educator role.
This system is comprised of multiple acute care hospitals, all under 400 beds. Each hospital has won its share of awards and honors that range from excellence in patient safety to achievement in Stroke and Heart Care, among others. This system is routinely considered by employees as one of the top places to work in the state.
The Senior Emergency Room Nurse Educator will help to ensure the overall clinical and nursing success of multiple busy emergency departments that saw over 80k visits combined last year. Each location also has a dedicated Pediatric ED in addition to their main ED. The Senior Emergency Room Nurse Educator will work within three of this system’s busy Emergency Departments and serve as a resource for all groups, including nurses, physicians and staff.
The Senior Emergency Room Nurse Educator will be an integral part of the leadership team, reporting directly to the VP of Corporate Education. They will be responsible for the education and training of all ER/Trauma employees, including Orientation, Lecture Speaker Series and educational initiatives. The educator for this role would have experience in an Emergency Department or Trauma Center and be ready to step right into this busy and challenging work environment.
This Senior Emergency Room Nurse Educator role will offer lots of variety, challenge and an opportunity to educate, support and ensure the clinical quality of a large nursing staff. As part of the leadership team, this educator will play an essential role in assessing the needs of the staff and the quality of patient care and then developing initiatives to address these needs.
The Senior Emergency Room Nurse Educator will work over multiple ER’s, but all are located within 45 minutes of one another. This is an ideal place to live and work.
